Audit Engineer (Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand)
Purpose of the role
The position is responsible for the auditing of energy efficiency projects, identifying and qualifying energy efficiency opportunities in new and existing buildings through the improvement of HVAC systems. The Audit Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and evaluation of the opportunity to reduce energy costs and/or improve energy efficiency through BBP automation and proprietary tools and methodologies.
Main Accountabilities
- Support Sales in the pre-qualification of the client opportunity
- Conduct desktop surveys with preliminary data (e.g. historical utility billing analysis and facility benchmarking analysis) collected through Sales managers in order to qualify client opportunity
- Plan, organize, and lead audit site surveys
- Perform on-site energy efficiency audits that are focused on HVAC energy efficiency opportunities
- Develop and implement Site Measurement Plans and deploy equipment to document parameters such as operating times, flows, energy consumption, temperatures, etc.
- Perform concept and schematic design, calculations, BOQ and drawing production
- Coordinate, lead and inspect on-site work and installations performed by suppliers, consultants and contractors during on-site survey
- Analyze consumption before, during and after implementation phases using energy modeling software
- Analyze potential opportunities, create proposals and present findings to sales and management
- Create and calibrate detailed energy simulation models
- Support Sales throughout the Sales process regarding savings calculations and estimates
- Create and develop technical audit, savings, M&V and project reports to be handed over to Sales, Engineering, and Projects teams
- Collaborate with other Engineering Teams to craft most optimal BBP solution
- Ensure a clear Audit documentation and client know-how hand-over with the Project team and supports the Project Team during kick-off phase
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Controls, Energy or Environmental Engineering with 2-5 years’ experience in an Energy or Mechanical Engineering position
- Professional Energy/Sustainability related certification a plus
- Specialist qualification in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning and Energy Management will be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge base of energy efficiency methodology and building engineering and design
- Advanced knowledge of energy and mechanical systems
- Well versed with HVAC systems, basic knowledge and good understanding on ACMV system and equipment
- Troubleshooting knowledge of ACMV system a plus
- Ability to understand piping and ducting and to oversee installation of instrumentation works (power meters, temperature sensors, and pressure sensors).
- Hands-on experience in power meter installation is preferred
- Field experience with HVAC systems – boiler, chillers, air-handlers, etc. is desirable
- Computer literate with good knowledge in MS Office, especially in-depth knowledge in MS Excel

Engineer, Central Maintenance (Singapore)
Purpose of the Role
In BBP, Central Maintenance Management strives to improve energy efficiency through careful evaluation of the client energy use and through the implementation of BBP energy-saving measures.
The role will be the key responsible to identify deviations in energy savings of existing clients and resolving quickly any performance issue. The role will also represent the first technical line of support for BBP’s clients.
Main Accountabilities
- Maintain and monitor equipment and systems
- Is responsible for first line of customer technical support, ensuring performance of the asset (client) is maintained through the course of the contract
- Constantly monitors, through BBP’s platforms, fault detection, energy and cost actuals vs. forecast, and measurement and verification (M&V) of energy savings post installation
- Collect and evaluate statistical data related to the performance for selected assets
- Support Data analytics team with ongoing improvement on automation of data gathering, analysis and reporting, including fault detection and root cause identification
- Utilise regularly Infor and for all client-related topics and events
- Manage responses to emergencies and crises
- Evaluate and provide fast resolution to field performance issues
- Visit sites to diagnose BBP operational issues and develop resolution plans
- Check performance deviations and defines root cause for any performance issues and, if needed, escalates to either Engineering or Performance team
- Perform PLC/SCADA maintenance where needed as first level support
- Plan and coordinate maintenance work
- Is responsible for supporting the planning of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities that ensure BBP equipment and client systems are fully functional and in optimal operating condition, preserving BBP energy savings
- Coordinate EPC maintenance contractors, review checklists and conducts D.O. sign-offs
- Prepares and maintains the comprehensive energy conservation action plan to include previous and ongoing efforts and short, intermediate and long-term goals
- Prepare operational and maintenance schedule as per MIS
- Support Customer Success Manager in creating further business opportunities
- Work closely and collaborate with the Customer Success manager to ensure Customer performance
- Works with customer team to correct inefficient uses of energy both technically and procedurally, as well as provide support with data justification
- Identify potential upselling opportunities at client site during regular or ad-hoc maintenance
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, with specialist qualification in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning and Energy Management will be an added advantage
- Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification would be an added advantage

Project Engineer (Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand)
Purpose of the role
As a Project Engineer for optimization of existing chiller plants you will be responsible for the day-to-day installation and commission of BBP systems, enabling clients to achieve significant energy savings through the installation of BBP’s solutions. The scope of work includes:
- Contractors management
- Modifications of piping
- Installation of VSD and modifications of existing pump and cooling tower starters
- Installation of PLC, sensors and power meters etc.
- Testing and commissioning.
Main Accountabilities
- Manage the execution of projects
- Prepare project schedules and budget (for Less Complex Projects)
- Create and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Execute projects with minimal supervision within Budget & Schedule
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the projects
- Work closely with the Procurement Team to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods
- Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, method statements, client updates and attend meetings
- Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
- Oversee installation of system
- Manage on a daily basis sub-contractors, and ensure work compliance with specification
- Spot issues and alarm events, escalating them to Project Management well ahead of time

Qualifications

- Well versed with HVAC systems and knowledge on HVAC(ACMV) controls and Start- Delta and Auto Transformer starters
- Experience in managing & liaising with sub-contractors, client and internal teams
- Experience in delivering project for industrial MNC clients is added benefit.
- Design knowledge of piping and ducting according to ASHRAE Standards a great advantage

Performance Engineer (Singapore)
Purpose of the role
The role is responsible to achieve BBP clients planned energy savings, conducting preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of HVAC systems. The role also acts as a subject matter expert within BBP in defining root cause of system underperformance and identifying immediate correcting actions without client disruption
Main Accountabilities
- Drive commissioning activity and energy saving achievement at project completion
- Coordinate with Project Manager regarding performance and commissioning work at client site
- Responsible for the commissioning process
- Ensure BBP’s energy efficiency system works to expectations after installation and testing in a timely manner
- Coordinate with the Project Management Team regarding the scope and the timing of the work, and plan the improvement / rectification work to be conducted to reach 100% savings or more
- Anticipate issues and prepare mitigation measures where required to achieve goals
- Finetune the BBP installed system without disruptions to client operations
- Manage outsourced contractors of chillers and ACMV systems
- Subject Matter Expert within BBP, especially for complex client issues
- Maintain system knowledge of the chiller, pumps and controls, TAC chiller systems
- Analyse chiller data and performance to ensure the reliability and consistent COP (kW/RT)
- Perform overhauling and annual shutdown of various brands of Chillers as part of regular/predictive maintenance and improving chiller efficiency
- Conduct detailed assessment and identify the root cause of poor performance in chillers and suggest potential rectifications, whenever central maintenance is not able to resolve the issue
- Keep Central Maintenance, Customer Success Manager and other relevant stakeholders informed on outstanding client issues and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, and/or repairs
- Represent the last point of escalation for client issues
- Promote the sale of BBP add-on work
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 3-6 years’ experience in Servicing of Air Conditioning Systems and Chillers
- Specialist qualification in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning and Energy Management will be an added advantage
- Energy Management certification highly desirable
- Prior commissioning experience required
- Experience and in-depth knowledge of Chiller Selection, performance measurements, overhaul and annual shutdown of various brands of chillers a strong advantage
- In depth knowledge in design and troubleshooting of Chillers
- Good Interpersonal skills to liaise and manage clients, project team and subcontractors

Chiller Specialist (Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand)
Purpose of the role
Responsible to identify the chiller performance improvement and execute the recommendation to reach the design condition as close as possible and prepare related documentation and presentation with justifications.
The role will also involve for pressure switch calibration and fine tuning of the system efficiency when major changes of load pattern or operation during the contract period.
Main Accountabilities
- Responsible for chiller pressure switch calibration, chiller performance study and related data collection and improvement work.
- Fine tuning/commissioning of the system and reach the target performance.
- Identify the base condition of existing chiller operation and prepare the recommendations to reach the design/efficient condition with justifications.
- Complete understanding and knowledge of major brand chillers like Trane, York, Carrier and Daikin systems
- Coordinate contractors for chiller performance improvement work based on recommendations.
- Evaluate and provide fast resolution to field if any operational impact during chiller enhancement work and fine tuning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services)
- Specialist qualification in HVAC and Mechanical/electrical/automation and Energy Management will be an added advantage
- Chiller technical knowledge and maintenance experience would be added advantage.
- Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification would be an added advantage
