Singapore-based energy optimization corporation chooses Kinetica to leverage data to enhance building energy efficiency, comfort, and productivity
Singapore – March 12, 2020 — Barghest Building Performance (BBP), a Singapore-based energy efficiency technology provider, announced it has selected the Kinetica Active Analytics Platform and Kinetica Cloud to accelerate the data analytics behind its building energy optimization offerings. Kinetica will produce visuals of streaming and historical datasets once considered too large and cumbersome to process in real-time. Accelerated by NVIDIA GPUs, Kinetica Active Analytics will provide dynamic insights in the moment, allowing BBP team members and customers to make data-based decisions regarding energy usage, maintenance, and comfort.
“BBP is building one of the strongest IoT product portfolios in Singapore, offering customers a full range of systems and digital solutions that make buildings smarter and more efficient,” said Stuart Fisher, President, APJ at Kinetica. “Kinetica is excited to be working with BBP to build smart analytical applications that transform the environments where people live and work.”
BBP provides energy optimization to companies in the hospitality, industrial, office, and retail sectors in South East Asia, India, and China, and is committed to delivering innovative technology and attractive financing solutions to help their customers reach their energy efficiency goals. BBP will use the Kinetica Active Analytics Platform to identify anomalies, skews in building metrics, and possible faults with equipment, enabling predictive maintenance and delivering optimized performance with lower energy consumption.
“There are countless building systems and assets that produce data, providing endless opportunities to drive performance-enhancing, energy-saving decision-making,” said Poyan Rajamand, CEO, BBP . “With Kinetica Active Analytics running on NVIDIA GPUs, we are able to use of-the-moment data to help our customers identify new opportunities to save money and streamline operations.”
“Real-time data is essential to accuracy and responsiveness, making NVIDIA GPUs an ideal option for powering BBP’s Active Analytics on Kinetica Cloud,” said Manuvir Das, general manager of Enterprise Computing at NVIDIA. “With larger datasets processed on GPUs, BPP will be able to extract the insights needed to power greater energy savings and efficiency.”
Both Kinetica and BBP have been accredited by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). BBP uses data to deliver energy efficiency to their customers and is able to reduce energy consumption up to 40%. The Kinetica Active Analytics Platform will enable BBP to extract unique insights from live data and fine tune algorithmic parameters for continuous improvement in performance.
Kinetica helps many of the world’s largest companies solve some of the world’s most complex problems, including Citibank, GSK, OVO, Softbank, and Telkomsel, among others. The Kinetica Active Analytics Platform combines streaming and historical data with location intelligence and machine learning-powered analytics. Organizations across automotive, energy, telecommunications, retail, healthcare, financial services, and beyond leverage the platform’s GPU-accelerated computing power to build custom analytical applications that deliver immediate, dynamic insight. Kinetica has a rich partner ecosystem, including Dell, HP, IBM, NVIDIA, and Oracle, and is privately held, backed by leading global venture capital firms Canvas Ventures, Citi Ventures, GreatPoint Ventures, and Meritech Capital Partners.
