Bloomberg has reported that Australian-led impact investments in climate change prevention, sustainable energy, green architecture, and similar initiatives will see a five-fold increase over the next five years.
In a survey by Responsible Investment Association Australasia, over 90% of investment professionals who responded said that impact investments with a strong green or social component had “met or exceeded” their expectations for ROI. Companies across all industries already have strong incentive to implement environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, and now more than ever as investors are seeing how well their investments in these areas perform. These stocks have also remained strong despite COVID-19 sell-offs.
